Yorkville District 115 Student Services Coordinator Sarah Cannon will serve as an elementary-level special education administrator for District 202 in 2019-20.
The District 202 Board of Education approved the new assignment at its April 29, 2019 regular meeting. Cannon will replace Elizabeth Massaro, who was named Plainfield South High School’s new special education administrator in February.
Cannon started her education career in 2010 as a school psychologist at Zion Benton High School in Zion, Illinois.
She filled the same role for the Kendall County Special Education Cooperative from 2012-2014, then served two years as a school psychologist and RTI coach for the Hinckley-Big Rock School District 429. Cannon started her current job with Yorkville in 2016.
“We are excited that Sarah brings to us her deeper understanding of how to support students through her background in School Psychology,” said Cheril Phillips, director for elementary student services.
