All incoming Kindergarten families:
Kindergarten Round-Up is being held on Tuesday, August 4th from 5:00 to 6:30. Come in and meet our amazing Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. LeBron and Mrs. Whittington.
While your Kindergarten student visits their classroom, parents will meet with our Administrators and various staff in our school gym for a Welcome Presentation. School supplies can also be dropped off for your Kindergarten student ahead of the first day of school.

Illinois has updated its lead testing requirements for children age 6 and younger. If your child’s school physical was completed after June 30, 2026, universal lead testing is now required for all preschool, kindergarten and new students age 6 and younger, regardless of where you live.
If your child’s physical was completed on or before June 30, 2026, lead testing requirements may differ based on your Zip Code.

As you prepare for the beginning of the school year, please remember that lead testing is required for all students entering PreK, Kindergarten, and any students (age 6 and under) who are new to District 202. A student's physical examination will be considered incomplete if the required blood lead test documentation is missing. Please contact the main office at (815) 436-9519 if you have any questions. Plainfield Fest is right around the corner!
This year’s celebration will include a special opportunity for children and individuals with special needs to enjoy the carnival before the crowds arrive.
On Friday, July 17, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., the carnival will offer a sensory-friendly hour with slower ride speeds, no flashing lights and quieter surroundings to help create a more comfortable experience for everyone.
Admission to Plainfield Fest during this special hour is free for participating individuals with special needs and their parents/guardians (ride tickets are required).
This year’s Plainfield Fest runs July 17-19.
